We seek a Data Engineer – Tech Lead – willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team in a hybrid model (Porto).

Are you the one?

  • Use advanced knowledge of AWS Lambda, Glue, and Step Functions to build scalable solutions
  • Design robust architectures focused on performance, security, and cost optimization
  • Work with cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing tables)
  • Create efficient data models for fast queries
  • Manage and optimize ETL processes and integrations with Redshift, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Implement and manage workflows with Apache Airflow and Step Functions
  • Analyze large datasets with Athena and maintain Iceberg tables
  • Lead the team, share knowledge, and ensure production best practices
  • Document solutions and constructively challenge requirements
  •  Solid experience with AWS (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience with orchestration and automation using Airflow and Step Functions
  • Familiarity with large-scale data and ideally Kafka
  • Experience with Iceberg Tables for efficient dataset management
  • Strong technical leadership skills and clear communication
  • Production awareness, troubleshooting skills, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of Apache Flink, Kafka, or streaming technologies
  • Experience with serverless architectures
  • AWS, Azure, or similar certifications
